Wrap the Turkey in bacon for not only amazing flavor (Who doesn't LOVE Bacon ?) but the bacon constantly bastes the turkey as it cooks.

Burlap Light Up Pumpkin
This was a Dollar Tree find.
Originally is was a somewhat tacky light up foam pumpkin covered in orange glitter. I painted it with a burlap colored paint so the orange would not show through AND it sealed the glitter so it wasn't EVERYWHERE. Then I simply glued burlap to it and added some twine, green burlap leaves and floral tape covered wire.
Not all my crafts turn out exactly how I want them to. I tried the pool noodle technique with yarn it was a FLOP. The yarn was not stiff enough to hold up.
Slice a small wedge from a 4"-5" slice of a pool noodle
Wrap with Jute, Twine, Rope. Keep in mind the sturdier your twine the bettter it will hold up
This twine was pretty thick so I wrap it around 25 times. Place a wire through the center of the pool noodle
Bring the wire up through the slice you cut and tie off the twine as tight as you can
Repeat 4 more times for a total of 5
Use a glue gun to glue the 5 pieces together to form a circle.
Glue the circle closed
Add a stick/cork something for a stem. I used burlap for leaves but silk flower leaves would work also

Step by Step Instructions
Glass Jar Pumpkin
Simply paint a glass jar or mason jar orange, (I use spaghetti sauce jars a lot) paint the lid green and add some decorations
Floppy Yarn Pumpkin
Cut a styrofoam ball at about the 3/4 spot
Place on the Floppy Yarn
Bring the yarn up and glue to the bottom of the styro foam. so the yarn is tight around the sphere
I used apiece of black felt to not only finish off the bottom but it helped to secure the yarn the glue did not hold.
Flip the Pumpkin over and add a stem and leaves
How I fixed it
For this one I just sewed a running stitch around a circular piece of fabric. Placed polyfill on top of it, pulled it tight and tied it off.
These were made with a styrofoam ball and pieces of fabric.
I will try to get Step by Step Instructions soon

Games and Activities
Rather then have everyone go around the table and tell WHAT they are thankful for, let EVERYONE feel loved and appreciated.
I am Thankful…for YOU ! - Have each person at the table tell something that they think is great about each of the others. If you have a really large group, have them just say something great about the person on their left.
Preserve the Memories
This one goes on throughout the party.
These days everyone has a cell phone with a camera. Give everyone a list of things/people to take pictures of. Examples: Someone eating, someone laughing, the dog, someone playing a game, someone watching TV, their favorite dish, their plate. At the end of the party download all the pics and give all who participated a small token. Make a disc of ALL the pics and give them out at Christmas.
Print out the PDF File on fall colored stock paper and cut out. Everyday have everyone write on them what they are thankful for or give everyone their own color and have them make several.
Guess How Many Candies in the Jar
Have your guests guess how many candies are in the jar. The winner gets to keep the jar.
